The Voices

VOICES

VOICES

Sometimes I hear voices ... It's not what you may think (I hope).

It is the voices of those who've filled my life with colours like an artist would paint on canvass.

Suichi's voice, so controlled and calm; I can still hear him as he would ask a teaching question that would lead me to a point of new understanding.

Alicia's gentle manner and razor intelligence would lead me to a point of view I hadn't seen before.

Juanita's clear perception that would leave me amazed at a position I would not have thought of.

Phillip's gregarious and sharply edged ability to dissect an issue would lead me to appreciate wider views outside of the common thinking.

I find thoughts of the leading personas in my lifetime echoing their voices as a comforting music.

I think of relationships as an exchange.

So the question is, what did I return them for their wonders that they shared with me.

They were all better than I deserve.

I miss them very much.

Appreciate what is in front of you while you have it there.

Listen for the music, see the colours
