Curvaceous

in a discovery
light
through darkness
long and short
the strings
touching
and not connected
curvaceous
not tube
not pipe
holding only themselves
to and end
not even
pathways in the threads
always equal
never the same
floating in the darkness
and a discovery of light
a curvaceousness
untouched
a string
a discovery
a darkness
though the light
end to end floating
pipes in the darkness
holding only themselves
even

Athazagoraphobia

To think and record
to remember
it is that eternal rush
to express
against the fear
against forgetting thought
almost as powerful
as the love of thinking

how in a mindless eternity
where love exists
remembering to express
against the fear
of forgetting
and record nothing
almost as powerful
as thought

forgetting fear
against love
or to live
in a mindless eternity
an eternal rush
to express
an eternal rush
to remember

almost as powerful
thought
as the love
of thinking
it is the eternal rush
to express
eternity
forgetting fear

wALKING bACKwARDS iN tHE dARK

Walking backwards in the dark

when you know how to walk in the dark
and see beauty in the light
reaching for a candle
and not getting burnt

stepping back without falling
to hear that whisper
that soft glowing
to feel that kiss and it’s warmth

walking backwards in the dark
to see the beauty of light
and it’s glowing warmth
without a stumble

what colour is a candle
the fire that burns
the fire in light
that a whisper can extinguish

what sound a footstep
to glide in the darkness
anticipating the kiss
without falling

walking backwards in the dark

PEOPLE ARE WOMEN TOO

PEOPLE ARE WOMEN TOO

Look out for unexpectedness
and in the consistency of the the usual
that is magic

just because you wander
not ignoring what is obvious
and the common

taking the worst ideas
drinking them under the table
making a sensible hangover

and the common so obvious
that consistency of magic
so usual

just because you wander
that consistency of the unexpectedness
that usual magic

drinking it under the table
ignoring the common obvious
that people are women too

usual magic of the worst idea
unexpected obvious
from drinking under the table

a consistency unexpected
ignoring the drinking
of magic

for the hangover

Joshua's Watching

JOSHUA'S WATCHING

Let me write one for you
by the fall
across desert sands
unaccompanied winds
with gale and autumn
as witness

making an image
by the stretching shadows
brushing up on the mountains
where down hidden valleys
trickles sunsets
as wonders

chips of shadows
amongst high lit tans
as brushing breezes like fingers
make a dance
with desert grasses
as individuals and together

joshuas' watching
as sentinels
arms upwards
as if to lift a moonlight
upholding the breeze
as it glows

along a zephyr's night
an Autumn’s whisper
and a questioning owl
to the spaces between
mountains and sands
and where they connect

lifted moonlight
carried by zephyr’s sands
an October whisper
before the fall
that shimmers
a hint to winter
