THE DANCE

THE DANCE

marionettes' parade
stewing like a marinade
always in wait
for the street
that pulls

a string of summons
never in line for flavor
imbibing instead the oil
that doesn't mix with water

the seasons of the controlling hand
in suspending suspense
snapping fingers summon
a doll dance

while in patience
as the oil flows
skipping the water

a marionette dance
under a control
skips

immersed in the season
of the parade
a parade and a dance
awaiting summons
while impatient
will never really ever wait
when stewing
like a marinade
