THE GIFT
she left her image behind
what i found
was her likeness of me
i the mere reflection
and no longer near
tandem incomplete
reading as a gift
a single poetic
the two little books
new pictures for the mind
gentle Hafiz
damaged Kerouac
pained by the obvious
that they can touch
cupped offerings
needing pails
gentle Kerouac
damaged Hafiz
overflows
