TO FIT WITH THE POEM
open box
open to rain
open lid to fill
none of it holds
even open to
acceptable rain
walking on rain
that fills the box
seeping into the sands
finding room
for the box of time
like so much wet cardboard
peeled layers
to fill
accepting even sand
grains that fill with water
form
while wet cardboard melts
walking on water
only needs
sand
